Torremilanos Reserva 1998 ~ Ribera Del Duero

A cracker of a wine from Bodegas Peñalba Lopez (Jardines de Don Diego 4, 5º A 09400 Aranda de Duero Burgos). This wine is produced from Tinto del País grapes in the Castilla y León region of Spain. It is aged for 30 months in oak barrels of from the Allier forest in France. This a rich ripe, complex wine with notes of Balsamic/Jerez vinegar (rich,sweetish).Subtle notes of vanilla, cinnamon and liquorice. A lovely long smooth finish rounds this wine of nicely. Cost= About 20€ a bottle making it an excellent value wine.
