Macon Pierreclos 2006 ~ DOMAINE DES BRUYERES ,Maurice Lapalus

Posted in French Red Wine  by Fitou on December 14th, 2008

An interesting wine from DOMAINE DES BRUYERES in PIERRECLOS (71). Nice all round flavours, with a mellow soft red fruits and a touch of wood. A decent wine for the money (around €4) and tastes like it would improve with a while in the cellar.

Domaine des Cotes de Chalaya, Chiroubles 2006

Posted in French Red Wine  by Fitou on December 14th, 2008

This is a rather enjoyable wine from Domaine des Cotes de Chalaya. A good deep colour and a complex taste, rich with red fruit and soft warm spice. Excellent value for money and a wine that would suit roast meats on a summers day.
